Nellcor NPB-290 Pulse Oximeter

The Nellcor NPB-290 monitors SpO2 (oxygen saturation) and Pulse Rate in adult, pediatric, or neonatal patients. New technology allows the NPB-290 to establish an SpO2 signal even on active or poorly perfused patients through better separation of electronic and optical noise. The 290 has a 3-digit green LED display for % SpO2 and pulse rate, and the color turns to red during alarm conditions; a pulse amplitude indicator, or "blip bar," gives a visual display of the patient's pulse strength. Visual indicators include Pulse Search, Audible Alarms Off, Artifact Indicator, Low Battery and Battery Charging. Internal battery will last up to 8 hours with new, fully-charged battery. The 290 will automatically shut off after 15 minutes if running on battery, and no pulse, alarms, or key presses are detected. There are audible and visual alarms for low/high saturation and pulse rate, and for low battery.

A similar pulse oximeter, the NPB-295, can also display plethysmographic waveforms and 24 hours of trend data on its LCD display. Both the NPB-290 and -295 are compatible with the full line of Nellcor sensors, and can download trend data using the optional SCORE software from Nellcor. Both have integral carrying handles; the NPB-290 weighs 5.5 lbs, the NPB-295 5.7 lbs.

Nellcor Symphony N-3000 Pulse Oximeter

The Nellcor Symphony N-3000 Pulse Oximeter incorporates Oxismart advanced signal processing technology, which allows a clear signal even in active and/or poorly perfused patients.  The N-3000 is designed to identify and reject artifacts attributed to motion and electronic or optical noise interference.

The unit has a digital LED indicator for oxygen saturation (%SpO2),  pulse/heart rate (beats/minute), and respiration rate (breaths/minute), with a 10-segment red LED for pulse amplitude.  An internal rechargeable battery lasts up to 6 hours on full charge (4 hours if using optional ECG) with a 12-hour recharge time.  Can be used for adult, pediatric, or neonatal patients using the Nellcor line of sensor products.

The N-3000 can store up to 24 hours of trend data, which can be downloaded via RS-232 serial port to PC using SCORE software.

The N-3000 also has options for 3-lead selectable ECG and respiratory rate monitoring.
