DINAMAP 1846 SX and DINAMAP 1846 SX/P are automatic, oscillometric, non-invasive blood pressure monitors. They are identical except for the addition of a printer function in the 1846 SX/P model. Easily the most popular model in the blood pressure monitor field, customers may ask for a "Dinamap" thinking that it is the common name for a BPM, like asking for a Kleenex when you need a tissue. Display functions include MAP (mean arterial pressure), sytolic and diastolic pressures (current), pulse rate, and length of the programmable cycle time. User-programmable high and low alarms for systolic, diastolic, MAP and pulse. The unit also has a Stat mode, which automatically pressurizes cuffs and cycles measurements in an emergency or life-threatening situation.

The 1846 series is also available in a version called that includes monitoring of Pulse Oximetry.

Blood pressure cuffs come in a variety of sizes to match all patient sizes, from infant through adult, in both reusable and disposable versions. They must be matched with the proper pneumatic hose for the cuff size: light blue pneumatic air hose (CK8840) for all infant, neonatal, and child patients under 15 lbs of weight using disposable neonatal cuffs; Patients 15 pounds and above should use the CK8841 royal blue adult pneumatic air hose.
