AVI 3000 Mustang Modular System 3M/AVI Model 3000 and Micro 3100 Modular Infusion System The 3000 and Micro 3100 Modular Infusion Systems are pole-mounted infusion devices with piston/displacement operation. They feature up to three channels of simultaneous independent infusion programming. The 3000 combines both macro and micro infusion rates in the same device, while the Micro 3100 is limited to micro rates only. Both are capable of automatic secondary (piggyback) delivery and rate tapering for TPN infusion; Dose/Rate Calculation option allows the pump to calculate the infusion rate by entering the dose, patient weight, drug amount in the fluid container (MG, Gr, mcg, or units), and the volume of fluid in the container (ml). A Volume/Time option also allows the pump to automatically calculate the infusion rate after setting the volume to be infused and the total time. |
The 3000 and Micro 3100 are called "Modular" because a single pole-mounted pump can be connected to up to two other 3000 or 3100 pumps for situations where multiple infusion lines are required. The extra modular units are physically attached to a single center pump which is attached to the pole clamp. Occlusion alarm can be programmed to three different settings at 2, 5, or 10 PSI; titration (rate change without stopping infusion) is possible; a keypad lockout feature deactivates the front panel controls; at ± 2% accuracy, among the most accurate pumps on the market. An options key allows the clinician to choose what information will be displayed on the pump face, and allows the user to check battery condition on the display. An RS232 connector provides computer interface for central monitoring and programming. All program information is stored in memory whenever the pump is turned off. Uses the same 3M/AVI sets as the other newer AVI pumps such as the 280RT, with a space below the pumping mechanism where the safety clip must be inserted for operation (product code must have "8C" prefix). Recommended for venous, arterial, and epidural infusions; also for blood infusions when using the AVI blood set. The Micro 3100 is recommended for pediatric/neonatal and other fluid-restricted patients. One year PM interval rate recommended by manufacturer. |
