Aire-2000 External Control Unit (AIRE-2000)

The Aire-2000 External Control Unit is connected to either the NatureSleep or Conforma mattresses via a 3-hose manifold (#AM2000) which overrides the internal computer pressure control. The Aire-2000 unit is similar to the Bazooka controller in that it has the same 3-hose connection, an On/Off Switch, and a regulator knob that controls the amount of pressure being maintained in the mattress air compartments, adjustable from 0-37 mmHg (about 0.7 PSI). The unit will still maintain current pressure even during a sudden power outage. Standard accessories include a detachable AC cord and 3-hose manifold. Weight: 21 pounds.

Aire-4000 External Control Unit (AIRE-4000)

The Aire-4000, shown below, provides multi-therapy pressure control, including wave, pulse, firm, bedpan, and float. The unit also has a Dermawave mode, that rhythmically changes pressure throughout the mattress, and a Dermapulse mode, that alternately pulsates air cells throughout the mattress. These modes can be set on a timer to program a specific length of therapy before the unit returns to normal operation. The unit can also be programmed to the needs of individual patients by entering the patient’s weight and a custom profile which allows the pressure to adjust to a particular wound-care therapy. Alarms can be set to go off if the pressure reaches an undesirable lower or upper limit, and a keypad lock mode is available to prevent tampering with controller settings. A quick-release CPR panel is included. Like the Aire-2000, the Aire-4000 is connected to either the NatureSleep or Conforma mattresses, but uses an 8-hose manifold connector (#AM4000) instead of the 3-hose system used by the Aire-2000. All eight hoses are color-coded to connect to the proper fitting on the side of the Aire-4000 controller. Air pressure control range: 0-19 mmHg (approx. 0.4 PSI). Weight: 70 pounds.
